VersaCut GS is made in Germany for Single Source Technolgoies under private label by one of the world's leading coated wire manufacturers. It is drawn under the same stringent European quality controls as the manufacturer's branded products.

It is a traditional, first generation gamma phase EDM wire with a focus on increased speed. Compared to brass wire, these wires can achieve up to 20% faster cutting speeds. VersaCut GS features a CuZn36 (64% copper, 36% zinc) brass core and a special gamma brass coating.  VersaCut GS is drawn to 500 N/mm² and has an elongation of at least 10%. This makes it suitable for taper cutting on all machines with the advantages of a speed increase due to the gamma phase coating. It is also universally suitable for Charmilles machines using X technology.
