Sumitomo SBG is a zinc-enriched, paraffin-free CuZn40 (60% copper, 40% zinc) brass alloy EDM wire available in a wide variety of diameters, spool sizes, and spool weights. It is manufactured to a tensile strength of 1,000 N/mm². Sumitomo SBG EDM wire is widely used as an alternative to OKI Type PSX wire.
Sumitomo SBG wire is recommend by Fanuc and Makino. It also performs particularly well on Sodick wire EDM machines and is a good choice on older Agie machines.
